Wayne E. Ewing, also known as Bob Reed, 73, son of Emanuel Ewing and Helen Tanner, was born June 7, 1935, at Tonapah, Nev. He died Sept. 13, 2008, at his home at Solo.

He worked in metal fabricating and painting until he became disabled with emphysema.

He was preceded in death by his parents and stepfather, and a brother, Stanley Ewing.

Surviving are his partner of 30 years, Cynthia Waibel of Solo; three daughters, Tonya Foster of Bucyrus, Nicole Humphrey of Peace Valley and Michelle Brakefield of Belgrade; one son, Mark Hakes of Novats, Calif.; one sister, Jan Saunders of Richland, Wash.; and 11 grandchildren.

The body was cremated under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.
