Ruby Loraine Ehart Vickers, 87, daughter of John “Jack” S. and Minnie Martha Gaston Ehart, was born Aug. 14, 1920, at Butler. She died Aug. 10, 2008, at Houston House Nursing Center.
She married Arlie Dean Vickers March 19, 1938.
Mrs. Vickers enjoyed going to church, cooking, traveling and going on Thursday nights to the senior center.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; and a sister, Lyda Mae Flowers.
Surviving are her daughters, Barbara Jones of Solo, Terry Dennis of Eldon, Deana Vickers of Springfield and Cheryl Josephson of Plato; her son, Tim Vickers of Versailles, Ky.; one brother, Bill Ehart of California; 11 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
Services were Aug. 13 at the Elliott-Gentry-Carder Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Wesley Wallace officiating. Burial was in the Cabool Cemetery.
