Twenty-four Houston elementary girls in the second through fifth grades participated last week in the Lady Tigers’ basketball camp, hosted by coach Brent Kell.
Players were taught fundamentals and completed the five-day camp with scrimmages.
“It was a good week. The girls improved day by day,” Kell said.
Taylor Chipps was selected the second/third grade camper of the year. Jaycee Huff received the honor for the fourth and fifth graders.
Winners of individual competitions were:
Hot shot – Chipps, second grade; Chloe Hunninghake, third; Mindy Goins, fourth/fifth.
Layups – Chipps, second; Hunninghake, third; Abby Ice, fourth/fifth.
Obstacle course – Hunninghake, third/fourth; Autumn Walker, fourth/fifth.
