The Tigers missed the best opportunity Monday night for their first victory. Houston trailed Licking by three points at the half before eventually losing 44-33 in the first game of the Liberty Invitational.

Eli Smith led Houston (0-5) with 13 points. Jake Scheets scored nine.

Cory Scheets scored seven points and Jake Scheets had six in the Tigers’ 48-25 loss Friday night at Mountain Grove.

Tyler DeWitt scored five points for the Tigers, who trailed 16-3 after the first quarter.
