The Houston Lions Club will host its annual Christmas dinner at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 5 at its headquarters on North U.S. 63.
Cost for the meal is $10 per person. All members are urged to attend and bring a new Christmas gift for a child/youth. RSVP by calling Robert Rouse at 417-967-4636, Sandy Stanley at 417-967-5559 or Richard Hicks at 417-967-2961.
The Lions Club will also be collecting non-perishable food items for the Texas County Food Pantry between now and Christmas. A donation box is at the Houston Lions Den. Anyone attending functions at the den before Christmas is asked to bring what they can spare. The pantry is extremely low on supplies at this time.
