The body of a 3-year-old girl — who was the subject of a search last night at Mountain Grove that attracted more than 200 first responders and area citizens — was found at about 7:12 a.m. Wednesday in a pond, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.
Vivian Fitzenrider walked away from her residence at 2584 Oakview Lane in Mountain Grove. She was found by a marine enforcement trooper, the patrol said.
An investigation into the circumstances surrounding the child’s death is being conducted by investigators of the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control, the Mountain Grove Police Department and the Wright County Sheriff’s Department.
