Houston police are investigating the theft of a piece of equipment stolen from a local business.

Officers said a cordless drill was taken July 21 from Houston Do-it Center. The loss of the Dewalt-brand merchandise was estimated at $180. The suspect was wearing a dark-colored T-shirt and baggy shorts. The investigation is continuing.

In other matters, police:

-Were called to 517 Bryan St., where 59-year-old Glenda A. Heinsma was found dead at her residence. Texas County Coroner Thomas Whittaker pronounced her deceased. The death was prompted by natural causes, authorities said.

-Cited Russell A. Sisco, 33, of Licking, with driving while revoked on July 25.

-Charged Robin L. Hayes, 8851 Hayes Dr., with operating a motor vehicle while license was expired on July 26.

-Arrested Angie L. Matchell, 23, of Licking, on July 24 on an active warrant from Webster County charging her with failing to appear for a DWI charge. She was unable to post $500 bond and was taken to the Webster County Jail.

Houston police have been asked to report any guns that might surface in the area from a burglary July 25-26 at Nick’s Pawn Shop in West Plains. Forty-four weapons – worth about $20,000 – were taken.
