Sandra Gail “Sandy” Patton, 64, daughter of Roy D. and Vera Barringer Pearson, was born Dec. 24, 1942, at Truman, Ark. She died July 26, 2007, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
She married Louis Patton Oct. 31, 1964. They were married 42 years and had two children.
Mrs. Patton was a member of the First Baptist Church in Summersville and life member of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 7222.
She worked at Angelica Uniform Factory in Summersville for 15 years. She enjoyed sewing, shopping and going to yard sales.
She volunteered in the community at the Open Door, the Christmas store at the elementary school and church events.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lawrence Pearson and Delbert Pearson; and three sisters, Myrul Pearson, Imagene Jines and Florence Parks.
Surviving are her husband; her sons, Kevin Patton and Brian Patton; three brothers, Hubert Pearson of Newburg, Billy Pearson of Little Rock, Ark., and Roy L. Pearson of Overland; three sisters, Mary Kelley of Jonesboro, Ark., Elmeda Whitley of Brookland, Ark., and Lois Johnson of Belle; and three grandchildren.
Services were July 30 at the Bradford Funeral Home Chapel with Paul Hamm and Gordon Howell officiating. Burial was in the Bethel Cemetery.
