Dry, hot conditions made firefighting miserable Tuesday afternoon across Texas County.
Houston firemen were called to a grass fire at 4:10 p.m. on Highway 38 at Lybyer residence. Licking firefighters were at a brush fire off Highway C north of that community.
Raymondville assisted with a Summersville fire – described as about one acre – on Wallen Road northwest of the community.
