Gary Wayne Wilson, 53, son of Wayne Wilson and Barbara Clark Wilson, was born Sept. 19, 1953, at St. Louis. He died March 21, 2007, at University Hospital in Columbia.
He married Sherry Lynn McElfresh Oct. 13, 1972. They celebrated 34 years of marriage. They had two sons.
Mr. Wilson was the business representative/organizer for Painters District Council No. 2 of St. Louis. He has been with the Painters Local Union Since 1972. His enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends at their cabin.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Esther Wilson and Granville and Susie Clark.
Surviving are his wife, Sherry; his sons, Clint and Wesley of Licking; mother, Barb Wilson, and father, Wayne Wilson, of Eldon; sisters, Pat Higgins of Villa Ridge, Debbie Spitler and Anita Spitler of Big Piney; brother, Larry “Bud” Wilson of Union; and two grandchildren.
Services were March 24 at Fox Chapel with Rick Mosher and Osby Wilson officiating. Burial was in the Licking Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to the P.A.T.C.H. Foundation or Sonshine & Rainbow Day School and left at Fox Funeral Home.
