A Licking man was killed Sunday night in a motorcycle accident south of his hometown, the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Tpr. Marty Wiseman said a 1999 Dodge 3500 truck pulling a trailer was attempting to turn from a private drive onto northbound Highway 137 when a southbound 2001 Harley Davidson motorcycle driven by Frank W. Davy, 57, of Licking, struck the towed unit.
Davy was pronounced dead at the scene, which was about four miles south of Licking. The truck driver, William D. Grammar, 19, of Summersville, was not injured.
Assisting at the scene were Tpr. Jason Sentman, Cpl. Stacy Crewse and Sgt. Bryan Gruben. The Major Crash Investigation Unit was deployed.
Mr. Davy’s sister, Nancy Davy James, 44, was killed in a motorcycle accident in June 2014 in the same vicinity.
