Gayle Courtney Casebeer, 67, son of Vernie Clifford and Ann Faye McKinney Casebeer, was born Aug. 23, 1938, at Mountain Grove. He died Dec. 28, 2005, at his home at Van Buren.Mr. Casebeer attended the Houston Schools, transferring to Mountain Grove, where he graduated.He married Linda Marie Hill Sept. 20, 1959, at Mansfield.Mr. Casebeer spent most of his life at Van Buren, where he worked on his farm. He retired as a mechanic with the Missouri Department of Transportation.He was of the Assembly of God faith and was president of the Carter County Farm Bureau.He enjoyed farming, raising cattle, spending time on the Current River, gigging for fish and deer hunting.Surviving are his wife of the home; one son, Greg Casebeer of Van Buren; one daughter, Dawn Van Winkle of Van Buren; and five grandchildren.Services were Dec. 31 at the McSpadden Funeral Home at Van Buren with the Rev. Ross Marshall officiating. Burial was in the Van Buren City Cemetery. “
