John William Roeder, 91, son of George Washington and Margaret Myrtle Payton Roeder, was born July 30, 1914. He died Dec. 26, 2005.He married Ruby Lee Helms Hall June 24, 1955.Mr. Roeder was converted and baptized, joining the Baptist church, where he was the oldest living member. He had toured Jerusalem in the Holy Land.He recently received his 55-year pin from the carpenters’ union. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge #226 of Hartville.Surviving are his wife of the home at Licking; three stepchildren, Deanna Cooper of Licking, J.D. Hall of Conway and Ruth Carfield of Rolla; seven step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.Services were Dec. 29 at the First Baptist Church in Licking with the Rev. Harry Foley and the Rev. James Miller officiating. Burial was in the Concord Cemetery under the direction of Fox Funeral Home of Licking. “
