Francis Ladean Mayfield, 71, son of Clarence and Irene Mayfield, was born Oct. 10, 1933, at Weiner, Ark. He died Aug. 12, 2005, at his home in Houston.He attended school at Weiner, Ark., and served in the Navy during the Korean War.He worked and retired from the City of Austin, Texas. After his retirement, he moved to Missouri to be near his son.He was preceded in death by his parents.Surviving are his son, Roger Mayfield of Houston; one brother, Ernest of Chelsea, Okla.; two sisters, Katherine of Weiner, Ark., and Lillie of Stuttgrat, Ark.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.Services were Aug. 14 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel in Licking. “
