Naomi Lydia Bever, 81, daughter of Victor LeRoy and Susie May Williams Holmes, was born March 22, 1924, at Rockwell City, Iowa. She died June 5, 2005, at the Kabul Nursing Home.She married Jess Bever Jr. Oct. 6, 1942, at Houston. Mrs. Bever lived in the Houston and Cabool areas since moving to Missouri with her parents as a child.She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Houston.She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Florence Tomlinson, Doris Curry and Mary Venable Brelsford; and two infant brothers.Surviving are four children, LeRoy Bever of Badger, Minn., Robert Bever of Rockford, Ill., Carolyn Worley of Pomona and Velda Cross of Houston; 15 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.Services were June 8 at the Evans Funeral Home Chapel with Jim Root officiating. Burial was in the Oak Hill Cemetery. “
