Freda Ruth Smith, 70, daughter of Raymond Monroe and Naomi Elizabeth Rodgers Smith, was born Aug. 16, 1933, at Licking. She died March 7, 2004, at Mineral Springs Area Hospital at Farmington. She attended Licking High School and worked throughout the years in the sheltered workshop program. She enjoyed crafts with her embroidered pillowcases and quilt tops, cooking and gardening. She was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Jean Flowers. Surviving are nieces. Graveside services were March 9 at the Boone Creek Cemetery with the Rev. James Miller officiating under the direction of Fox Funeral Home of Licking. “
