Lawrence Holland, 84, son of Ambrose and Pearlee Holland, was born Dec. 30, 1917, at Salem. He died Dec. 1, 2002, at St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield. He worked in saw milling and farming; for Henry Friend Lumber Co. and the state highway department, where he was a crew leader. He retired in 1979 after 20 years of service. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Sonja and Yvonne; his parents; three brothers, Vester, Clarence and Wilbur; and one sister, Sylvia. Surviving are his wife, Eva; one son, Bill of Licking; two daughters, Cathy of Marthasville and Jeannie of Springfield; seven grand-children and seven great-grandchildren. Services were Dec. 4 at the Fox Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Robert Gifford officiating. Burial was in the Boone Creek Cemetery. “
