Harold Eugene Sillyman, 84, son of Lee and Oma Green Sillyman, was born Jan. 7, 1917, at Houston. He died Jan. 26, 2001, at West Vue Home at West Plains. He married Mabel Irene Tuttle Oct. 10, 1940, at Alton. She preceded him in death Oct. 29, 1998. Mr. Sillyman was a veteran of World War II, serving with the U.S. Army in the European Theatre. For more than 30 years he was an oil field pumper with Amoco. He was a member of the Heart of the Ozarks Bluegrass Association and of the Pentecostal faith. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Lillian Binkley. Surviving are one brother, Ray Sillyman of Houston; and one sister, Dorothy Moynihan of Casper, Wyo. Services were Jan. 28 at the Rose Chapel of Robertson-Drago Funeral Home at West Plains with the Rev. Joe Combs officiating. Burial was in Howell Memorial Park Cemetery near West Plains.
