It took the top-ranked team in Class 1 to end the Houston baseball team’s winning streak.
Dora scored seven times in the sixth inning Friday to rally from a 3-2 deficit and beat the Tigers 9-4.
HHS, which had a four-game winning streak and won eight of its previous nine games, committed five errors leading to six unearned runs. The Tigers (11-6) had two errors during Dora’s sixth-inning rally.
Junior Connor Wilson gave up seven hits and nine runs – three earned – in six innings in the loss. He struck out seven and walked two.
Hunter Stilley doubled and had two of the Tigers’ four hits. Alex Castleman had a pair of RBIs.
Houston’s defeat was the first since an April 11 loss at Ava.
