Graveside services: 1 p.m. Friday, March 15, at Pine Lawn Cemetery, Houston. 

Wanda Mae Peters, 82, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at Texas County Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 6, 1936, in Cove City, Ark., daughter of Howard and Thelma Ramey Russell. She and Eddie Peters were married April 19, 1958.

She was a member of Seventh Day Adventist Church and accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at a young age. She was a homemaker and worked at The Cannery.

She was a traveler. She lived in Washington, Texas, Arkansas and her travels included Florida, California and Tennessee. Her last travel was by plane to Hollywood, Calif., where she finally realized her dream of seeing the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

She loved singing, music, reading the Bible and her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, James Russell; and a sister, Pauline Watson.

Survivors include a son, Michael Peters of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter, Pamela Kell of Raymondville; four grandchildren; a brother, Darrell Russell of Van Buren, Ark.; a sister, Ruby Ball of Van Buren, Ark.; and many other family members.

Graveside services were Friday, March 15, in Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Wanda Peters Memorial Fund c/o Evans Funeral Home.
