Widespread showers will begin to move into the area from the south tonight, the National Weather Service said.
A half inch to inch of rain will be possible along and southeast of the I-44 corridor with lesser amounts to the northwest, it said. Showers should begin to diminish during the evening on Thanksgiving from west to east as a front moves through, the National Weather Service said.
Additional rainfall is expected on Saturday of the holiday weekend.
