Services: 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, at Evans Funeral Home, Houston.

Jacqueline (Jackie) Becker passed away Friday, Jan. 4, 2019, at age 87 while in Brookhaven Healthcare in West Plains, Mo. She was born Nov. 23, 1931, to Jack and Ann Findall (Veselak) in Chicago, Ill., where she spent the majority of her lifetime.

Jackie graduated from Spaulding High School and on Sept. 13, 1947, married her high school sweetheart, Donald P. Becker. Together they raised eight children and shared every single aspect of their 70 year marriage, including a passion for the arts and music, until his passing in 2017. Don and Jackie moved to the Houston, Mo., area in 2015.

At 7 years old Jackie won her battle with cancer that cost her her leg. While most would be defeated, she was fortified… her strength and love for life abounded. There was no mountain she couldn’t climb, and was an inspiration to all she knew and met.

Jackie retired in 1981 from Sears, where she had climbed the ladder to become human resources manager.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Donald; her children, Larry and his wife, Anna, Johnnie, Liz Partlow, JoAnna and husband, Andy Anderson, Becky and husband, John Stegbauer; granddaughter, Angel Stegbauer; grandson, Adam Partlow; and great-grandson, Lucas Hartman.

She is survived by her children, Steve Becker and wife, Nadine, Mark Adams and wife, Diane, daughter, Terri and husband, John Hulbert, and daughter, Donna Martorano; grandchildren, Monica and Don (Duck), Kim and Kevin, Deanna, Josh and Steffie, Jackie Sue and Joel, Roxanne and Samantha, Jane, Jonathon, and Amanda, Arnora and Nels; 20 great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Lynn; son-in-law, Jim; and granddaughter-in-law, Melissa.

Jackie was a very loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother and friend. Our hearts are heavy and she will be sorely missed.

Services are 11:30 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2019, at Evans Funeral Home with Pastor David Barbee officiating. Burial will be in Pine Lawn Cemetery under the direction of Evans Funeral Home. Pallbearers are Tim Dehart, Tyler Dehart, Jonathon Stegbauer, Josh Hartman, Stephanie Wilda, Samantha Martorano and Don “Duck” Becker.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Care. Online condolences may be expressed at www.evansfh.com.
