The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:
Between Feb. 5 and Feb. 11, the Houston Police Department answered 191 calls for service and initiated 58 traffic stops resulting in 15 citations and 56 warnings.
- On Feb. 5, officers were dispatched to the intersection of Highway 17 and U.S. 63 for a motor vehicle crash. A 2023 cargo van operated by Robin Klemm, 56, of Midway, Ark., was struck in the rear by a 2023 Ford F150 operated by Dwight McNew, 26, of Success. There were no injuries reported. McNew was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way.
- On Feb. 6, Kaylee Fredrick, 20, of Houston was cited for Driving While Suspended. Fredrick was also arrested on a Laclede County warrant for Failure to Appear-Owner Operated Motor Vehicle Without Maintaining Financial Responsibility. She was taken to the Texas County Jail, where she posted the $300 cash-only bond and was released.
- On Feb. 8, officers responded to a motor vehicle crash on U.S. 63, near Walmart. A 2008 Dodge Ram operated by Laura Crowley, 54, of Houston, exited the Walmart parking lot onto U.S. 63 and collided with a 2021 GMC Traverse operated by Kayla Bryant, 33, of Mountain Grove. There were no injuries reported. Crowley was cited for Failure to Yield Right of Way.
- On Feb. 9, officers responded to Walmart for a reported theft. After completing an investigation, it was determined that thefts had occurred on four separate occasions by the same individual. William Shirreffs, 34, of Houston was charged with four counts of Stealing Under $750 for thefts that occurred on Dec. 19, 2023; Dec. 21, 2023; Jan. 18, 2024; and Feb. 2, 2024.
- On Feb. 9, Glen D. Cox, 47, of Houston, was cited for Allowing Animal To Run At Large.
- On Feb. 11, Jeffery L. Grandmaison, 24, of Houston, was arrested on a Pulaski County warrant for Failure to Register Motor Vehicle. Grandmaison was transported to the Texas County Jail, where he posted bond and was released.
