Texas County sales tax revenue was up in February compared to last year, according to a Missouri Department of Revenue report for 2024.
Merchants collect three half-cent sales taxes. Each totaled $114,205 for February, which represented an increase of $5,131 on each from the same period a year ago.
The sales tax on out-of-state sales totaled $77,343 for the month. That was up $34,587.46 from the same month in 2023.
Revenue from a three-eighths sales tax earmarked for law enforcement totaled $67,649, which was down $1,741 for the month.
