The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between March 4 and March 10, the Houston Police Department answered 169 calls for service and initiated 41 traffic stops resulting in six citations and 40 warnings.

  • On March 4, officers responded to the Dollar Tree for a private property motor vehicle crash.  No injuries were reported.
  • On March 5, officers had a vehicle removed from Steffens Street due to a nuisance violation.  
  • On March 5, officers investigated a theft from the Millstone Market. Officers identified the suspect and will forward a report to the Texas County Prosecutor’s Office for formal charges.
  • On March 6, officers responded to the Walmart parking lot for a report of children being left unattended in a vehicle. After completing their investigation, officers forwarded a report to the Texas County Prosecutor’s Office for formal charges on two individuals for endangering the welfare of a child.
  • On March 7, officers responded to the 1000 block of Thomasville Road for a reported death.  The cause of death is believed to be natural causes.
  • On March 7, officers responded to Hardee’s for a private property motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported.
  • On March 7, officers received a report of a stolen license plate from a trailer.  
  • On March 8, officers arrested Jackson C. Morgan, 47, on an active Texas County warrant per charges Delivery of a Controlled Substance in a Jail Facility, Resisting Arrest and Peace Disturbance. Jackson was taken to the Texas County Jail, where he was incarcerated due to the warrant having no bond.
  • On March 10, officers cited Dakota Goforth, 29, of Houston, for Driving While Suspended during a traffic stop.
