The Roby Fire Department reported a large fire Sunday southeast of Plato. The origin isn’t known.
Trent Packer, assistant chief, reported it burned a very large area on multiple properties.
“The local property owners did a great job containing it,” he said. The area was around Turley Road.
He noted it does not look like favorable burning conditions until Wednesday night.
