Texas County Memorial Hospital celebrated its staff May 13-17 during National Hospital Week.

TCMH observes the annual event with activities organized for the employees throughout the week. On Monday, popcorn and slushies were available to all employees, followed by the distribution of T-shirts on Tuesday.

The employee health fair was Wednesday, featuring interactive, fun games. Employees had access to complimentary lab draws, including CBC, CMP, Hemoglobin A1C and a lipid panel. Furthermore, various health checks were available, such as blood pressure assessments, pulse oximetry, coronary artery disease risk factor screening and physical therapy lifting.

The health fair was extended to Thursday, concluding the day with the addition of Custard by C-Sue.

The week culminated on Friday with a barbecue meal for all hospital employees.

With over 400 full-time and part-time employees, TCMH thrives on its staff’s dedication, officials said. “This week is an opportunity for us to express our deep gratitude to our team for their unwavering commitment and hard work every day,” said Bill Bridges, TCMH interim chief executive.
