Texas County’s unemployment rate dropped significantly in April from the previous month, the Missouri Department of Economic Development reported.
In April, the rate was 4%. That is down five-tenths from March.
According to the department, the county’s total labor force was 9,218 and employed was 8,852. (Total unemployed – 366)
Other counties and their unemployment rates: Dent (3.9), Douglas (3.5), Howell (4), Laclede (3.5), Phelps (3.3), Pulaski (4.1), Shannon (4.3) and Wright (3.6).
