Heat, along with possible flooding and storms, are expected today in southern Missouri, the National Weather Service said.
There is a slight risk (2 of 5) for severe thunderstorms late this afternoon through the evening hours, it said.
Areas just north of Texas County are under a flood watch until 5 a.m. Friday.
A heat advisory has been issued for counties just south of Texas County, the National Weather Service said.
