A Columbia man is charged with a felony after a Texas County Sheriff’s Department investigation of an incident in late May.
Sean M. Ryno, born in 1984, of Columbia, is charged with domestic assault – third degree (a class E felony).
According to a probable cause statement, a deputy was dispatched May 26 to an unreported location regarding a domestic dispute. The officer made contact with a man there who said he and Ryno had argued over people being on his property, and that Ryno had shoved him multiple times and slapped him on the head.
The deputy also spoke to a female witness, who reportedly said she saw Ryno shove the victim multiple times.
Ryno reportedly declined to speak to the officer.
Bond is set at $2,000 cash only.
