The Cabool Police Department handled calls and incidents recently, including four peace disturbances.

The department reported 17 traffic stops resulting in 10 summons and seven warnings issued. One arrest for a non-traffic offense was made.

At 9:45 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, officers responded to U.S. 60 west of Highway AV for report of an accident involving a 2020 International straight truck operated by Sreten Roncevic of Patterson, New Jersey turning in front of a 2025 Volvo driven by Mudahemuka Nibishaka of Louisville, Kentucky at the Garden Inn and Truck Stop parking lot, officers said. No injuries were reported.

At 6:17 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 14, officers responded to U.S. 60 at Parkway Avenue for report of an accident involving a 2006 Chevrolet Impala driven by Mathew McGiboney of Cabool impacting the back of a 2016 Ford Focus driven by Carissa Sigman of Cabool. Sigman was stopped to make a left turn, officers said. No injuries were reported.

At 3:51 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, officers were dispatched to Shetler’s Discount Grocery on the report of a male subject urinating in the parking lot. A suspect was identified and video confirmed the suspect’s identity, officers said. Luis Alberto Miranda was issued summons for urinating in public.

In total, police handled two accidents, two alarms, five animal complaints, one civil matter, two domestic violence calls, one impaired subject incident, two juvenile matter incidents, one mental instability incident, four peace disturbances, one suspicious activity incident, assisted other agencies four times and assisted the public four times.

The fire department was dispatched 14 times.
