Workers with Gentry Construction Co. Inc. recently performed concrete work for the floor of the new Texas County Library at First and Pine streets in Houston.

The project is slated for completion in summer 2025. The 7,200 square foot project is headed by the Texas County Library Foundation Inc., which recently began a campaign to raise funds for furnishings for the building.

Those helping receive a tax-deductible contribution. Anyone can make a donation.

The group also has some remaining 70 percent Missouri tax credits (Missouri Neighborhood Assistance Program) for eligible contributors that also have federal deductibility.

ELIGIBLE TAX CREDIT DONORS: The Department of Economic Development (DED) will issue 70% tax credits to an eligible taxpayer who makes a qualified contribution to an approved Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP) projec​t. 

They are:

  • Businesses
  • Individuals who operate a sole proprietorship, operate a farm, have rental property or have royalty income. 
  • Shareholders in an S-corporation, a partner in a Partnership or a member of a Limited Liability Corporation.
