Small business customers of Intercounty Electric Cooperative Association based at Licking can apply for a program that would result in energy savings.
Customers can seek a USDA Rural Energy for America Program (REAP) grant. It provides funding for up to 50% with a maximum of $500,000 of the cost of purchasing and installing energy-saving improvements for a business. “This is an excellent opportunity to upgrade your operations with high-efficiency HVAC systems, insulation, lighting, doors/windows, air compressors, refrigeration units and more,” said Intercounty in a press release.
To apply, projects cannot have begun.
Through the program, Missouri Enterprise will provide a free assessment of the energy impact of proposed improvements, and applicants receive assistance in completing the grant application.
