Work in Texas County is among bids approved Friday by the Missouri Highways and Transportation Commission.
The project is:
•Highway 38 from Highway 95 to Highway 17, a scrub seal, which is an application that is very close to a chip seal treatment where asphalt emulsion and crushed rock are placed on an asphalt pavement surface. The only difference is that the asphalt emulsion is applied to the road surface through a series of brooms placed at different angles.
Missouri Petroleum Products Company will do the work that is included in an almost $2.51 million contract.
