A Houston couple received injuries late Tuesday morning in an accident about four miles south of Licking, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Cpl. Jacob Sellars said a southbound 2006 Cadillac DTS ran off the right side of U.S. 63, struck an embankment and overturned.

The driver, an 81-year-old woman, and a passenger, an 84-year-old man, were taken by ambulance to Texas County Memorial Hospital with minor injuries.

The vehicle was totaled.

The patrol no longer identifies accident victims in its public reports.
