Candidates for public office were required to file campaign finance reports before a deadline last week.

Committee to Elect Scott Lindsey Sheriff, receipts for election, $8,088; expenditures, $3,122. Contributors for this reporting period: Scott Lindsey, Licking, $2,000; Peggy Lindsey, Cabool, $2,000; Texas County Republican Committee, Houston, $1,500; Ryan Hunt, Summersville, $200; Texas County Federated Republican Women, Licking, $250; Texas County Republican Committee, $750; and Roger Lindsey, Cabool, $1,200.

Committee to Elect Doug Kyle, receipts for election, $2,169; and expenditures, $1,727. Dixon, a Democrat, and Long, a Republican, are seeking to become presiding commissioner. Fred Stenger did not seek re-election. Lindsey, a Republican, and Kyle, a Democrat, are running for an unexpired term for Texas County sheriff.
