Ozark Action Inc., which serves Texas County, has issued a statement on the potential funding freeze affecting the federal government:
OZARK ACTION STATEMENT
We here at Ozark Action Inc. are monitoring the situation regarding the federal funding freeze enacted by the Trump Administration’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB). The OMB has asked federal agencies to provide details on over 2,600 programs, including those related to health care, housing, early childhood education and more.
Virtually all Ozark Action Inc. services will be impacted by this freeze if it is implemented as suggested.
As you well know, nonprofits are the heart and soul of any community, providing essential services, creating lasting change, and addressing critical needs at a local level. We here at Ozark Action Inc. have proudly served those in need in our service area for almost 60 years, and work day in and day out to empower our friends and neighbors to live with dignity and independence through our wide variety of programs.
