Last week, I met with Success School District Superintendent Stephanie McKinney and the team at Public Water Supply District #1 to discuss ongoing water issues in the area.

I’m happy to report that the new well should be up and running before June as long as the weather cooperates.

In addition to this update, I’m going to be working closely with the water district and the school to explore future infrastructure improvements and identify funding opportunities for long-term solutions.

I’ve also been in contact with Congressman Jason Smith’s office, Senator Eric Schmitt’s office, Senator Josh Hawley’s office, State Senator Brad Hudson’s office, Governor Mike Kehoe’s office, Texas County Commissioners, South Central Council of Governments, the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR), and the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) to ensure we’re leveraging all available resources to support this critical infrastructure.

I appreciate the dedication of everyone working on these issues, and I’ll continue to advocate for the necessary improvements to benefit our district. Stay tuned for more updates!

Reminder: Pwsd TexasCounty #1 will have a public meeting at the Roby citizen center on Tuesday, February 4, at 6 PM.
