The month of February makes me think of hearts and romance, which the classic author Jane Austen was wonderful at writing about.
I just finished a modern day spin-off of “Pride & Prejudice” called “Prom & Prejudice” by Elizabeth Eulberg. We have it cataloged as “young adult” and it’s extremely fun to read.
February is also “Blind Date with a Book” at all Texas County Libraries. The staff has created a display of books for you to check out, not knowing the title but just a clue on the front of the book. Come check it out! Thank you patrons for making this a BIG hit every year.
Book Club is at the Houston branch every month. The next one is Saturday, Feb. 8. All book club dates for 2025 are listed on the library website, and we welcome you to join us!
Come check out these new arrivals.
FICTION: “Better than Friends” by Jill Shalvis, “The Resurrectionist” by A. Rae Dunlap, “The Mirror” by Nora Roberts, “Holmes is Missing” by James Patterson and Brian Sitts, and for juniors, “A Tale of Magic” by Chris Colfer.
