Vendor space for the annual Emmett Kelly Clown Festival is available.

The festival, which honors the world-famous circus performer, is held annually in Houston. This year’s date is April 26. Activities occur in downtown Houston. Booths dot the downtown business, and it attracts large crowds.

To learn more, call Houston City Hall at 417-967-3348, e-mail to sreed@houstonmo.org or stop by city hall at Grand Avenue and Oak Street.

A volunteer, Brenda Senter, recently met with the Houston City Council to kick off planning for the event. One activity will include the dedication of a historical marker that notes information about Kelly and will be placed near murals south of the Houston Senior Center.

Volunteers are needed to plan the event. Senter can be contacted at hisel1970@yahoo.com.
