Loretta Gayle Price was born on Jan. 10, 1940, to Richard and Rosa Elkouri of Snyder, Oklahoma. She graduated high school in 1958.

Loretta was married to Irley Neugebauer in 1957. To that union, three children – Chris, Rodney and Lisa – were born.

Loretta worked at the Bank of Houston for 18 years. She married Buel Price July 31, 1993, until his passing on Sept. 10, 2010. They did a lot of traveling and enjoyed their time together. She got to see the world. They also had a small business together selling terra cotta in malls. (She mostly shopped instead of working). Then Loretta went to work at Pure Country Western Store in Houston, Missouri, for her daughter in-law Tressie. After that, she moved to Springfield, Missouri, to live near her daughter Lisa Thomas. They created so many happy memories together eating out, getting manicures and pedicures and shopping until they dropped. She enjoyed cooking Lebanese dinners for her family, and she was a “devoted” mother. She was a member of the Souls Harbor Church.

Loretta is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Buel; three sisters, Dorothy Hargrove, Virginia Elkouri and Evelyn Connor; and one brother, Richard Elkouri.

She is survived by her children, Chris Neugebauer and wife Lisa of Eureka, Missouri; Rodney Neugebauer and wife Tressie of Houston; and Lisa Thomas and husband Jarrett of Springfield; seven grandchildren, Cody Neugebauer and wife Courtney of Raymondville; Brad Langdon and wife Whitney of Springfield; Kristin Neugebauer of St. Louis; Technical Sergeant Kirk Neugebauer and wife Kelsey of Little Rock, Arkansas; Kylee Thomas of Springfield; Keaton Thomas and wife Sarah of Kansas City, Missouri; and Addison Neugebauer of Houston; nine great grandchildren, Brody, Brylee and Briggs Neugebauer, Alexa, Adieson and Chad Langdon, Sage and Wyatt Neugebauer, and Jack Thomas.

A visitation for Loretta will be held from 2 to 3 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 28, 2025, at Souls Harbor Church. A funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. with Pastor Cody Neugebauer officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Lawn Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jarrett Thomas, Keaton Thomas, Kirk Neugebauer and Brody Neugebauer. Arrangements entrusted to Evans Funeral Home.
