A Norwood man was injured Saturday afternoon in a U.S. 60 accident, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Tpr. Zayne Tate said a westbound 2008 Toyota Tundra driven by a 20-year-old Norwood man traveled off the ride side of the highway, down an embankment and struck multiple trees.

The driver, who was wearing a seat belt, was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.

The vehicle was totaled.

Assisting at the scene about three miles west of Mountain Grove was Tpr. Chad Johnson.
