A warm and dry air mass will combine with breezy southerly winds to create elevated fire conditions across the area during this afternoon into early this evening, the National Weather Service said.
The Houston Rural Fire Department was called early Monday evening to Burton Branch Road after a controlled blaze expanded out-of-control. Firefighters were able to extinguish it quickly.
