Elevated fire conditions are expected across the area today as a dry air mass and southerly wind gusts of 10-20 miles per hour occur, the National Weather Service said.
Area departments are responding to calls this week.
A warning ahead: Strong to severe thunderstorms, strong to possibly damaging non-thunderstorm winds, and elevated to significant fire weather concerns exist for Friday into Friday night, the National Weather Service said.
