Texas County is under a flood watch, the National Weather Service said.

Confidence continues to increase in heavy rainfall and flooding into the weekend, it said. Heavy rainfall amounts of at least 3 to 6 inches, with localized amounts of 8 to 10 inches will be possible within the flood watch, as it could result in significant flooding and flash flooding. The timeframe for highest confidence is this afternoon through Saturday evening.

KEY MESSAGES

âž” Slight (2 of 5) to Moderate (4 of 5) risk for severe storms this evening with golf ball size hail as the primary hazard.

âž” Confidence and concern continues to increase for heavy rainfall and potentially significant flooding this weekend, the National Weather Service said.

âž” A Flood Watch is in effect through Saturday evening.
