About 16% – 2,768 of 17,389 – of registered voters in Texas County went to polls on Tuesday. Sam Kelley won the Houston mayor race. The Texas County Senior Tax Credit ballot issue passed.
Results for the Licking mayor race will be available tomorrow. The race is contested by three write in candidates.
8:29 p.m. – Final unofficial results posted.
7:58 p.m. – 6 of 10 precincts reporting, including Houston.
7:22 p.m. – Absentee ballots (305) added.
When polls closed at 7 p.m., 572 people had voted at the Houston precinct. Almost 1,000 voted at the precinct in 2024. In 2023, the number was around 400.
