​​The following are excerpts from reports recently generated by the Houston Police Department:

Between March 31 and April 6, the Houston Police Department answered 169 calls for service and initiated 22 traffic stops, which resulted in seven citations and 21 warnings.

  • On March 31, officers arrested Frank L. Gayer, 56, of Houston, following a short-term investigation. Gayer was later charged with failure to register as a sex offender pursuant to Section 589.400-.425-2nd Offense (two counts). Gayer was incarcerated in the Texas County Jail and later posted a $2,000 cash-only bond.
  • On March 31, officers responded to the 400 block of Route 17 for a private property motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported, and only minor damage occurred.
  • On April 1, officers responded to U.S. 63, near S. Industrial Drive, for a motor vehicle crash. No injuries were reported in the crash.
  • On April 1, officers responded to the 1100 block of Charles Street for a reported theft. The stolen property was recovered, and the victim declined to pursue charges.
  • On April 2, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a reported theft. Upon completion of the investigation, officers cited Destinee M. Strange, 31, of Houston, for stealing under $750.
  • On April 5, officers responded to the 1400 block of S. Sam Houston Boulevard for a reported theft. Upon completion of the investigation, officers cited Patrick Robinson, 23, of Houston, for stealing under $750.
