A local radio legend whose musical talents were aired on area radio since 1963 has passed away.

Clarence Crider, who was blind since age 2 due to impetigo, a skin infection, passed away April 8, at his Summersville home. He was 90. With him was the other half of the musical duo, sister Mary Ann Crider. The Clarence and Mary Ann Crider Show aired for decades beginning in 1963. Both also played across the region in various venues.

He brought countless sermons from his Braille Bible as he ministered. He played his guitar at church services. He enjoyed writing songs.

Services were Friday at Summersville.
