An investigation by the Houston Police Department on April 10 has resulted in a Houston man being charged with multiple felonies for assault.
Alexander H. Kell, 32, of 904 Ozark St. in Houston, is charged with domestic assault – second-degree (a class D felony), domestic assault – third degree (a class E felony) and endangering the welfare of a child – second degree (a misdemeanor).
An HPD officer reported that at about 10 p.m., a woman called 911 to request officers respond to her residence because Kell had assaulted she and her boyfriend. The woman told a responding officer that she had heard Kell and her boyfriend arguing and when she opened her bedroom door, Kell shoved her down.
She was subsequently evaluated by medical personnel and then taken to Texas County Memorial Hospital.
The boyfriend reportedly told the officer the argument had begun due to Kell leaving his 4-year-old son unsupervised. He said he went to Kell’s room to confront him about it, and Kell shoved him into a wall.
Kell was taken to jail. A $3,000 cash bond was requested by the Texas County prosecutor.
