Texas County ranked seventh in the state Wednesday in the annual spring firearms turkey season, the Missouri Department of Conservation said.
Hunters in the county had killed 303 birds. The breakdown is: 278 adult gobblers and 25 juvenile gobblers.
Top counties in the state were: Callaway (392), Gasconade (385), Osage (372), Franklin (364), Sainte Genevieve (318) and Miller (311).
